popping up when I log in. Not always but increasingly often. The
backtrace then shows the described error message as its last line.

None of the workarounds works for me.

unity forgets focus-follows-mouse setting across updat
I can confirm this bug on a fresh 14.04 installation. Every other day,
the focus-follows mouse and autoraise setting is reset to default. I
have been using this feature on linux since 13 years. It's really
disruptive that settings are just lost.

Same here on a 14.04/64bit installation using the proprietary NVidia
graphics driver (in case that's related). The transparent background is
a mess. Perhaps unrelated, there is issues with the choice lists in some
buttons, too (truncated to the point of being totally uninformative).
