i think bug #477106 might be relevant to this one. one comment mentions "Building the MMC/SDHC modules into the kernel and enabling unsafe resume in the kernel config fixes the freezes here.", another offers a patch "that allows to change safe or unsafe resume for the mmc driver on the fly." and
