[Bug 987501] [NEW] package snort 2.9.2-3ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Public bug reported: when ever i try to install a program( for example : using sudo apt-get update/or adobe flash player etc ..) it ends up with this same error report! i am help less and not able to install an thing. in am using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on lenoveo 3000 series Y500 laptop ,,_ -
