This issue has been fixed upstream in [1].

boot failure on kv260
Public bug reported:
Kernel boot testing of 5.15.0-1032.36 failed. The new kernel is
installed but the system does not come back up after a reboot. Console
logs show that there is a soft lockup.
[2.028650] mtdoops: mtd device (mtddev=name/number) must be supplied^M

lab.
