Same problem. I cannot use ALT+1 or 2 or 3 to flag my pictures because these
are keys used by my desktop environment to select a desktop. As a consequence,
I cannot flag pictures to create a quick selection.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I cannot change the font size when I print and
the font is way too big to do anything with the printed document. I am
surprised that a bug report was filled in 2005 on this topic, and 12
years later I cannot find a way to solve this. Am I missing the right
option
People considering Compiz as dead think that nearly two years to see a
hack which is not a real fix for such a terrible bug is not a sign of a
healthy piece of software, specially for an LTS version which is suppose
to be rock solid. Two years of this flickering made Compiz something
very far from
Same problem since updating Linux Mint Debian Edition from a wheezy

I think there is something broken in the Ubuntu upgrade policy regarding
Compiz. Ubuntu 11.04 was so bugged and unstable that it triggered rage
from many experienced Linux users. The answer from several Ubuntu forum
managers defending Canonical was that we (the angry users) were stupid
because if
I tried many times with most options the commands "ubuntu-bug linux" or
"apport-bug linux" or with "linux-generic" or "linux-
image-3.2.0-31-generic" which are installed packages, but the command
always aborts saying:
The problem cannot be reported:
This is not an official LinuxMint package.
Same problem with "SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd MMC/SD Host
Controller (rev 03)" on a Dell Precision M4500 running Linux Mint 13,
kernel 3.2.0-31-generic. I can format a 32-GB SD card but I get silent
writing errors when I copy files to the card. I can only see the errors
in /var/log/kern.log
Thank you for your reply. I had already read the whole thread including
comments #111 and #132. I also had already installed your
0.9.7.8-0ubuntu1vvpreproposed2 Compiz version but I suffered too much
from bug #1011923 (white menus). I therefore came back to the last
Compiz version available in p
Is there any plan to include Compiz 0.9.8.0 in Ubuntu precise tree or in
a ppa? This situation is really painful.

The workaround is to avoid to have windows touching desktop edges.

Does this mean that we must upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 to get rid of the
bug? Won't be a new Compiz version provided as a package update for
Ubuntu 12.04?

I am running Linux Mint 13 Mate 64-bit edition. When I run "aptitude
update" I still only see Compiz 1:0.9.7.8-0ubuntu1.4. Am I supposed to
see a more recent Compiz version such as 0.9.8.0?

As es-lebe-der found out, setting the Number of Desktops to 1 in the
Compiz General Options solves the problem between the association
between the desktop and Compiz frameworks. This way, each Compiz
framework is associated to one desktop framework (such as Mate,
Cinnamon, XFCE, Gnome...) But thi

I do not know whether this should be considered as a bug. As far as I
understand, Berkeley databases contain information about user's
environment. After its creation, a database can only be read in a
similar environment. Environment information includes OS type (32- or
64-bit OS), libdb version, a
