When returning from hibernate, audio devices is changed to hdmi (gp104 device),
which is not even plugged in. When playing audio and changing volume one has to
go into volume settings or pavucontrol to change the output/controlled device
back
A similar screen blink (about 1-2 secs interval) also happens at screen
wipe/blackout/timeout whatever it's called. Seems a similar issue; a
"smaller", other dpi ("high resolution") screen is glanced in the flickering

Also affects video playback, switching between fullscreen and windowed
mode becomes unusably slow. Playing games (The Long Dark as an example)
also results in flickering of a black screen when the volume overlay is
shown when changing volume

Tried to resume, and was greeted with this (attached photo).
It then threw me back to the display manager (lightdm?) where I had to
enter password, then the mutter/window manager's unlock screen opened
and I had to enter password again. No crash this time but very odd

BAH! Seems this is another nvidia-driver issue. Resume works with
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau.
But is nvidia-driver officially supported? And what things might gdm3 be doing
differently than lightdm to trigger a resume video driver freeze?

consistently freezes computer/makes unresponsive when resuming from
hibernate. Switching back to lightdm (outdated and poorly adapted to
hidpi) and everything works.

Desperate for an update for progress on intel's firmware fixes. I'm not
eligible for the maverick module-init-tools fix so I disabled n on my

I am having the same issue but on Jaunty, 2.6.28-14-generic, pulseaudio
1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2
gnome-settings-daemon 2.26.1-0ubuntu2.
XF86AudioRaise/LowerVolume are recognized but are not having any audible
effect, nor affecting any mixer control. Pause/Play and Prev and Next
work fine though.

Adding some additional info...
This bug is making wireless completely unusable on my laptop. It drops out
every 10 minute or often times more frequent., I have to enable the kill
switch, wait 5 seconds... most often this doesn't work and I have to repeate
the procedure 2-3 times.
