This bug is confusing to the new user of xsane: not all control elements are
visible in the control window at startup. It can be enlarged to show the full
GUI, but if you don't know ...
This bug came with ubuntu 20.04, and now I see that it persists in 22.04

When starting xsane, the main GUI window comes up with a size too small
to show all controls. Enlarging the window to adequate size works, but
it has to be done every time xsane ist started. I could not find in the
resources how to fix that. This bug is new since Ubuntu 20.04
xournalpp does not have the problem, btw.

Bug appeared about 10 days ago.
The text characters show as empty boxes on an iPad (uptodate, iPad air 2),
opening pdf from mail attachment.
I can detect the following differences in exported PDFs before and after bug:
pdffonts: toUnicodemap was 'yes' before, now 'no'
pdfin

For ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, unity desktop:
When several documents are opened in acroread (version 9.4.7) the filenames of
the inactive ones are invisible on their tabs (presumably font color =
background color). This is true for all unity themes except the high-contrast
ones.
This bug affects more people, at least one collegue of mine and myself.

icedtea-netx was installed. I reinstalled, but the problem persists.
Then I saw that libnetx-java was not installed. Installing it did not
solve the problem. Is there a problem with dependencies? When installing
icedtea-netx openjd-6-jre and openjdk-jre-lib were requested!
