Having reverted to KERNEL == "hidraw*" ()see above post) and reboot,
I was able to use my Logitech keyboard to select in the grup menu and to
login at the Ubuntu login screen (this is a first for a long time) .

Which suggests making one change to /lib/udev/rules.d/62-bluez-hid2hci.rules
i.e. in the Logitech Section change KERNEL=="hiddev*" to KERNEL=="hiddraw*"
This behaviour is not evident today - i.e. the copy window is appearing
on top as would normally be expected so may not be easy to replicate.
Incidentally the 'File Operations' copy window is not visible using
alt+tab (this behaviour is persistent) - not sure if it should be
included here or enter

download
