Currently I have my laptop's and the USB Apple keyboard working
correctly _and_ simultaneously

I'm having this issue with a Spanish USB Mac keyboard. Is it really so
difficult to detect when you have a Mac keyboard connected and/or
disconnected? Can't anything be done with hotplug, udev, etc. ?
