yes i know this, then can you point me in the direction of a PPA like
his that is official so i can get the latest updates of the shell? i
like to see how it progresses and i also create themes for it so i need
to know what things change in case i need to fix up the CSS lol...

got another update today from the PPA and still no change, screen turns
black, and #s 17-30 are shown, thats it. Really weird. If you click to
close the calendar back thing return to normal. Screen also flickers
when notifications are being shown, maybe the same problem?
