Added info, maybe relevant to this bug maybe not. The same machine does
not recognise the build in mic. But a plugged mic works normally.
Because I use the mic rarely, I have made only preliminary research to
resolve. If it has nothing to do with the front speaker bug, please
ignore.

After reboot, front speaker sound is at 0%. Drum sound is heard during
boot process but nothing after login. Headphones work. Running
alsamixer, front sound can be adjusted and everything works after that
until the next reboot. Appears to be similar to #449589, 453776 and
