Intrepid I marked this bug invalid — support for Intrepid expired

KDE4 displays corruptions when swithing to TTY and back using VE
The Ubuntu Netbook Remix (UNR) always has the (only) panel at the top of
the screen. So there the problem also occurs in the default
configuration.
This might be an easy-to-fix show-stopper for the UNR.

Other users have the problem as well. (I created a new user to be sure.)
It takes the following steps to reproduce:
1. Have a server available where you can login via ssh.
2. Start Nautilus.
3a. Switch the address bar into typing mode (if required).
3b. Type "ssh://server.domain" (or "ssh://12.34.

When I mount a filesystem shared by ssh using nautilus (typing
"ssh://Hostname" into the address bar) an error message appears, that
reads:

I experience the same with Ubuntu Intrepid KDE Beta. When I stop kdm and do
"startx" manually there are many messages as those that can be found in the

swith to TTYn and back several times I get corruptions - text is

I just tried and I can still reproduce the crash. What I do:
1. Not have proprietary codecs installed.
2. Plug in removable device (MP3 Player).
3. (Rhythmbox opens and asks if you want to search for suitable codecs.)
4. Confirm. (Codecs are beings searched.)
5. Unmount removable device.

I removed openoffice.org-hyphenation via "dpkg -r openoffice.org-
hyphenation" (this does not remove dependencies) and then installed
openoffice.org-hyphenation-en-us. I guess that openoffice.org-
hyphenation-en-us is a replacement for openoffice.org-hyphenation with
wrong dependency settings.
