The Folder context menu and the Selection context menu are completely
different menus that have near nothing in common, if you haven't noticed
that already. And beh

When a file is highlighted in pcmanfm and the user press the "alternate
menu" button (the one on the right side of the space bar next to Ctl
key), the menu that appears only lists the default options, as if
nothing were highlighted. This function doesn't even work on a PCManFM

It seems that this problem is not exclusive to Lubuntu.
Also tested on two different distros (Puppy and Semplice) with PCManFM and
libfm 1.1.0. On both distros drag and drop doesn't work on the desktop. Same
issue.
By searching PCManFM GIT logs, I see changes in the drag and drop
functions. Also
