I've upgraded to 12.04 since I reported this bug. Synaptic works well now.

I'm having issues with the shift keys using a US keyboard layout. I can't, for
example, use the right shift key to get a capital S, or a semicolon, but the

Creating a new directory using HUD still makes Nautilus lose focus. Same

Tom, I'm not familiar with XTest, but is it possible to have a 251ms delay
between keydown and keyup? I think it might be a workaround for this problem.
