You can still do power management using any non-gnome power management
tool. Somewhat annoying indeed, but less so than losing my trackpad
every hour ;-)

Had the same issue with my Magic Trackpad. After reading this possibly
related bug:

to disable upower:
systemctl stop upower
systemctl disable upower
This works around the problem for me.

As a work-around (a dirty one), after you finish partitioning, remove
the /cdrom line from /etc/mtab before you click Next.

Adding a 'me too'. These are PHP cronjobs that run every few minutes.
Most of the times nothing is wrong, occasionally one will segfault.
Machine load is low.
