In Karmic, updating today (01/09/09), apturl refused to update. Trying

I've just experienced this bug after reinstalling Jaunty while keeping
the same /home partition. Not sure what else to say, apart from to state

Ok, I've given that a go but it won't work. When I try 'sudo modprobe
em28xx' I get the following output:
FATAL: Error inserting em28xx
(/lib/modules/2.6.27-7-generic/empia/em28xx.ko): Unknown symbol in
module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
Which isn't great, and dmesg gives this:
