I updated to kernel 6.8.0-41 and it seems to have fixed most if not all
of my problems, sorry for reporting on bugs on an outdated kernel
version.

this bug is still active. no matter which backend i use, with all
appropriate dependencies that are listed, minitube will not play video
on x64 lucid.

keystrokes since I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 and Firefox 3.5. It is
especially problematic when entering URLs in the address field and has
been a noticeable detriment to my productivity.
