My laptop is an HP dv3 with a touch sensitive strip for volume control.
At first I thought the strip caused the problem, before seeing this
report.

this seems to be the same bug. However, I *only* experience it when playing
games. Video and music are fine.
I will try to remove pulseaudio and see if that fixes it.
