lxinput mouse sensitivity setting not changed

My mouse motion sensitivity is set to the max. If I use lxinput to
change the sensitivity and click on OK, the settings are not changed. If
I open up lxinput again, I can see that mouse sensitivity is still at
maximum. This may be related to Bug #563530 "won't save config if

work for me, either. To install the 275* drivers you have to get rid of
the Ubuntu installed nvidia-current package. I used dpkg -P nvidia-
current... probably not a good idea.

I found a fix, at least for my system, in the Debian User Forums:

I tried it, and it was a huge pain to get video back gain because the
screen was garbled and totally unreadable, even in text mode.

Timmie from #83: sorry my advice from #73 trashed your video. Unity
works OK on my system (x86_64; nVidia 7300 LE) with the Nouveau drivers,
but some programs such as Extreme Tux Racer and 0 AD do not work well at
all. (Tux racer gets only 2-3 fps and the mouse hesitates constantly in
0 AD, making
On my system every other bootup had corrupted console screens with the
nVidia drivers. The first bootup, gui or command line, would be trashed,
while the next one would be OK, the one after trashed, etc. I the
Noveau drivers seem to always work, once installed.

working for me with Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 desktop with a nVidia Corporation

Cannot use Unity or Classic desktop with effects after the latest

Sorry for your problem.
In my case, removing the Timidity daemon solved the problem. (Silly of
me to install it.) I have on board sound hardware. lspci found the
hardware, ALSA found the hardware, but Pulseaudio (often) insisted that
I had no sound card... until I purged the timidity daemon. After

OK, did as you requested. I ran gdb nautilus PID and generated a
stacktrace, which I captured with script. It's bigger than the previous
stacktrace that I tried to generate (331360 bytes vs 72881 bytes).

OK, I made a screen recording of what's happening using gtk-
recordmydesktop.
VERY ODD BEHAVIOR! When I actually perform the screenshot, I see no
selection box. Honest! When I watch the video, the selection box IS
VISIBLE. Why would this happen?

FYI, if Firefox asks you to install a missing plug in, the "Helix DNA
Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatable" plays the French audio and
does not crash Firefox.

I can confirm this bug in jaunty amd64. My problem is I don't know what
program or script the "Archive mounter" selection is supposed to run.
Sadly, I am also unable to figure this out.
