I believe I am having a related problem using UPnP with Deluge 1.30 on
Maverick and D-link DIR-655 router. I also have the VNC issue.
I applied the patch above and it seems to have corrected both issues.

I had this problem recently with 10.4 net book remix. Basically the
install of the proprietary driver fails at the very end.
I followed Ben Prescott's instructions in post #4, THANKS Ben!, and
got it working.

Removing the dns timeout fixed it for me, too. Thanks.
