Sorry, no can do!
I have backed off to 14.04 and am staying there until a resolution
occurs or the next release comes out. I can't afford the time for
upgrade/downgrade experiments - the loss of all desktop settings and the
need to re-install add-on packages manually during such a process

dist upgrade failed with exi

I rebooted and it sort of works, top and bottom of windows are severely offset,
program asked for /var/log/dist-upgrade file will attempt to paste: mainllog
There are more this thing only lets me past one, if you need others I will
supply.
