Having installed latest ubuntu intrepid, it appears this problem is now
resolved, so I suppose this bug could be closed? Will post here if
anything changes..

Well for me, I just copied the file over now, restarted, and it makes

nothing else works... if it goes through like this, this would be, imho,

I've just been playing around on alpha 6 live cd, unfortunately,
however, I can't even test this since I havn't been able to configure

remove all settings of course) Another bug (#260675) makes installing it

Compiz will not be enabled 'out of the box'. However, every user will be

Also, shouldn't this bug be of very high importance - since the Fast

I'm having the exact problem described by Nico in comment #32 if I try to
switch users with compiz enabled in gutsy.
If I disable Sync to VBlank - i get the white screen issue described above
(about 90% opaque) and typing my password gets rid of it.
If i disable compiz altogether - no problems.
I'm wondering if I'm seeing the same thing I did a fresh install of

managed to change it using displayconfig-gtk, but now alhtough my user

I suspect that these crashes are the result of a problem with another
package installed - even compiling my own flightgear from the source
packages available at flightgear.org does not fix this problem - i've
replaced both flightgear and fgfs-base.
