From just a cursory look it seems like maybe one of the two drivers (the
memory temp driver or underlying EDAC driver) isn't handling some dimm
configurations correctly. my dimm configuration looks like:

Hi, I have this EXACT same issue on a system here, down to the same line
number in the kernel source that throws the error.
The system is a Precision 490 workstation with 32 GB of ram, across 8 x
4GB DIMMs.
Relevant log lines:

Due to a change between kernel 5.11 and 5.13, out-of-date versions of
acpi call produce a kernel null pointer dereference when accessed by
tlp. This was previously reported, verified, and patched in [1] but
remains unfixed for the vast majority of ubuntu releases.

Impossible to Delete UEFI
Examining things in detail:
Impish Indri (21.10) and Focal Fossa (21.04) have both been upgraded
from kernel 5.11 to 5.13 but this package has only been updated for
Jammy Jellyfish (22.04). [1] shows acpi-call for Jammy at 1.2.2-1 while
the other two remain at 1.1.0-6 and 1.1.0-5 respectively.

Is this not going to be backported?
It appears to have only been applied to Jammy Jellyfish (22.04) but I'm
still experiencing this problem, with null pointer dereferences and
everything, on 20.04(.4) after moving to the new 5.13 kernel from 5.11,
presumably after a HWE update.
