I had the same problem after upgrading to feisty beta. For me this problem only exists, if my default display manager is gdm. So a workaround (not a solution) is to enable kdm as your dsplay manager. Use"sudo dpkg-reconfigure kdm" and select kdm as your display manager. Make sure that show a

I can confirm this error on my Acer Travelmate 4001 WLMi laptop. After upgrading to feisty kernel 2.6.20-14-generic stopped booting while loading the ACPI Module ibm_acpi (see attached file dmesg.log). With kernel 2.6.17-11-generic ACPI works fine. ** Attachment added: "Output of dmesg" http
