Well I learned something new.
Creating a script that executes after hibernates resumes (thaw) can be
done like this:
sudo touch /etc/pm/sleep.d/99_r5u87x-reload
sudo chmod +x /etc/pm/sleep.d/99_r5u87x-reload
sudo nano /etc/pm/sleep.d/99_r5u87x-reload
