to have fixed many of the graphical errors. Firefox scrolling,

Still no resolution to this... uploading dmesg, debug, daemon,
bootstrap.
I don't know if any of those will tell anything--but perhaps it could be
of some use to figure out what's going on.
In the console I attempted startx and it resulted in the error I am
receiving with the computer doing noth

I already had updated everything since 2 days ago or so.. so should have
been running 9.04.06
Did a sudo apt-get update (it fetched about 180)
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
asked to restart.
Computer restarted, saw the new Ubuntu loading screen (which is
aesthetically pleasing)
