The video out switcher (fn F7) still doesn't appear to be working in the
above release, but it is no longer an issue for me as I am able to
configure

2.6.28-11 in order to use an external monitor.

I just upgraded from 2.6.28-15.49 to 2.6.28-15.52. After updating, the
Fn F7 key which I have always used to change from my laptop display to
an external monitor didn't work. The update did not appear to have
modified xorg.conf, and I made no other system changes besides tho

I'm sorry to take so long to get back to you, but I only just did the
upgrade to 9.04. In fact I did the successive upgrades from Hardy to
Intrepid then to Jaunty in one evening. (I had been thinking of sticking
with an LTS version, but changed my mind.) The bug you mention was

Thanks for these postings. I can confirm this bug also. Reverting to
Gutsy version (from link above) solved this for me as well.
