Welcome/Boutique already falls back to its language "de" if its locale
("de_DE") isn't available. However in this case, it does exist, but it's
translations are incomplete. Each locale combination are treated as
separate entities.
You can force the application to use de by specifying:
ubuntu-

It's because there's two locales -- German (de, 100%) and German
[Germany] (de_DE, 15%) but your system is using de_DE and translations
inherit English where missing.
For Welcome, these localised versions (e.g. de_DE) should probably be
deprecated and stick to usi
I've looked at the error's stack trace and can replicate the problem.
This only occurs on arm64 systems when trying to use the Software
"Boutique" facility. The affected Xenial version (16.04.9.1) does not
have any software listed for arm64 hence the error, but the application
doesn't crash.

Unfortunately, there isn't much on Welcome's end that can be done to
"fix" this.
This strange (and difficult to diagnose) issue is caused by external
libraries failing leading to a segfault/error with the WebKitWebView
process, which is responsible for rendering the window.

"icon-theme.cache" to inherit all sized icon folders, allowing all
Ubuntu MATE branded icons to be displayed at the correct size in
applications, such as MATE Tweak.

Whoops, sorry, got mixed up, I mean I haven't experienced this on Wily
15.10.
One user reported on the thread there were no problems on Xenial 16.04
(Alpha) though.

I'm using Xenial too, but haven't experienced this problem.
You may be right, Ubuntu MATE uses mate-settings-daemon.

The update for Compiz to fix bug #1359211 has a regression where the
cursor has been affected for some users. The issue is not present under
Marco.

Confirmed. There doesn't seem to be any packages for this in Xenial
(16.04) at the moment. This might be temporary or they could have been
withdrawn.

As mentioned in bug report #1509712, two additional icons have also been
re-coloured so the entire Ambiant-MATE and Radiant-MATE use the Ubuntu
MATE "Green" desktop instead of Unity's "purple" look.
Updated icons:
* categories → preferences-system-network
* categories → pre
Here's an updated archive containing re-coloured icons for 'preferences-
desktop' and 'preferences-system-network' to complete the re-colouring
of the desktop to Ubuntu MATE's green which I had overlooked.
There is also a problem with the 24 computer icon being used instead of
the 48 one for "Comp
