If you want to create a link to /home/username the symlink is placed in /home/,
but your user have no rights to do that.
You have 3 possibilities:
1. Add a launcher to "nautilus" on your Desktop, that's the smae
2. use your terminal with "ln -s"
3. start nautilus as root and doin

using latest gutsy with latest updates.
Since 3 or 4 days the OSD for volume control and inhibit is broken. It show
nothing, but it's working.
On another PC the OSD isn't broken, but it's a Desktop PC.

Well, the problem is that the wireless networking card stops working if
the kernel modules "hostap_pci", "prism2_pci" and "orinoco_pci" are
loaded. I don't know why it works fine before upgrading the kernel, but
the solution is a blacklisting of "hostap_pci" and "prism2_pci" and
force loading "orin
