This happened during a live upgrade - that is, with the GUI upgrade tool
included in 9. After rebooting into 10, I was able to successfully
upgrade the package.
Since snmpd was running at the time of upgrade, it was logged in as user

I was using the update manage to do the upgrade from Karmic to Lucid,
and the script was unable to upgrade my snmp install, as noted in the
attachment. No further errors displayed, except "failed to upgrade"

So in a couple of runs it appears I managed to conenct to my open AP
once or twice, but not in a consistant fasion. In most cases,
wpa_supplicant is connecting and associating properly, but doesn't seem
to be signalling that is has done so? There is something very wierd
going on here, and I'm going

This is really an issue with the upstream gnome-tools. network-admin
only allows for a a minimalistic set of wireless configuration (wep/not
wep and a single key). network-manager, at the very least, shoudl allow
for input of the "proper" key for use, but if multiple keys need to be
configured (and

It looks like the diffs I'm going to attach are solving the problem for
me. These are an integration of the SuSE patches to wpa_supplicant and
network-manager, as well as some adjustments from the fedora patchset. I
can post some .deb files as well if that would help with testing.
