Am using Jaunty, have been using network-manager until tonight.
After an upgrade (and reboot), the "update" - button was red, so I did a
"sudo dpkg --configure -a" from terminal. This did fail, no network
connection.

Installing Asterisk from console on my laptop, by the command "sudo apt-
get install asterisk", did return an error. Asterisk have previously
been installed but it was removed by "sudo apt-get --purge remove
asterisk && sudo apt-get autoremove".
Have tested the new version on three computers, the bugfixed version
worked on all computers.

I use Ubuntu only, both at work and home. Got Intel chipsets on my home
computers and at work. About once a day, X crashes. When it does, X try
to restart several times - but do eventually give up.

installed by default? - Am not using any chipsets from Nvidia, on any of
my computers - but the nvidia drivers became installed on the two with

Even if Opera not yet is updated, I'm not able to replicate this bug anymore.
It was probably related to other bugs in Ubuntu.

Sorry, my fault. Looked at everything but the versions..
The reason I reported was that I got it in Intrepid, using the 9.27 that
are in the repository. I'll fix my report tomorrow
On my machine, running Intrepid Beta, this did happend regularily until
I installed the server kernel.
After that, it dont freeze anymore. I believe it could be related to
some of the differences between the kernels - but it's hard to pinpoint
exactly what makes random things disappear..

Updated Intrepid once again, and the bug diappeared: Fixed.
Did a clean install of Intrepid, updated, and the bug is stil missing!
Made a third install, updated, bug still missing. Let the computer use
the wifi connection to download continously over the hight, two nights
in a row. Still no probl
Got the same thing, installed Opera and used it for the first time on
Intrepid.
What I did to replicattet this bug was: Open a single webpage, close
Opera - and the bug appeared.

This continues, so according to my harddisk storage the received amount

Got this signal on 8.10, clean install.
Did a 100% clean and straight install, rebooted, updated, rebooted - and
the message was waiting. Firefox is the first program I'm using in 8.10
(except for the updating programs).

Am running a freshly installed 8.04, unmodified, with this problem on an

The sad thing is that after doing a clean install of 8.04.1 it works
fine - but "something" happend on the first upgrade making my wireless
network connection b0rken. This Redhat - bug makes it really hard to
pinpoint what's happening, since the data I'm looking for would have
been written in these

If it's any help: I've duplicated the bug on Ubuntu 7 and 8. It seemes
to be more frequent on Ubuntu 8. I've replicated it in both Firefox 2
and 3
