[Bug 252382] Re: firefox fails to load the python loader XPCOM component

2009-12-17 Thread Ken Geis
The messages occur once every three seconds. This makes for a lot of noise in the error console. -- firefox fails to load the python loader XPCOM component https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/252382 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ub

[Bug 292179] Re: Intrepid upgrade removed EVMS but should not have allowed upgrade

2008-11-06 Thread Ken Geis
Sorry, I can't really help on creating an EVMS volume with the CLI tools. It's something I did once, a couple of years ago, with the GUI tools and the EVMS manual in front of me. Since I'm not going to use EVMS any more, and I don't have a machine I can just play around with, it's hard for me to

[Bug 292179] Re: Intrepid upgrade removed EVMS but should not have

2008-11-02 Thread Ken Geis
So I just read about evms being deprecated in Ubuntu 7.10. I booted SystemRescueCS and followed instructions in the wiki for converting evms volumes to md volumes. I'm up and running, but I still think that the upgrade script should have warned me that it would make my system unusable. -- Intre

[Bug 292179] [NEW] Intrepid upgrade removed EVMS but should not have

2008-11-01 Thread Ken Geis
Public bug reported: I just ran the dist-upgrade to 8.10. I saw that during the cleaning up phase that it was planning on removing EVMS. I assumed that EVMS functionality had been replaced by some other package, so I agreed to have it removed. Now my system won't boot because it can't see /dev/
