Most likely the BIOS is buggy and does not setup the IOMMU hardware
correctly so that it can't be used reliably in Linux. You can try to
update the BIOS the the latest version and see if it fixes the issue, if

Booting with the option noapic, and EFI disabled. After 30 minutes I was
able to login into the computer using tty1. The Graphical iterface
didn't work.
With the dmesg command I was able to validate the issue:

I can confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of
Ubuntu.
I used the image:
utopic-desktop-i386.iso22-May-2014 07:50 1.0G Desktop image for
PC (Intel x86) computers (standard download)
Could this reported bug in Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS be the same here?
