I actually do not get the same result with totem, the speakers work fine. I mean, who listens to music through their PC speaker? The speakers I have are a simple Creative Subwoofer/Two tweeter thing. Cheap but effective. I have a desktop as well, not a laptop. Perhaps saying external speakers
