In my case I was able to stop the error at logon by uninstalling
(purging) kactivities, while leaving libkactivities6 installed for
dependencies.

The shell does not include any tools to determine where the USB got mounted, ie
fdisk, or even dir command.
Using nano /dev(autocomplete) has limited results due to the inability to
page autocomplete results.
