@David: In order to avoid that conflict you need to disable the
'backport' packages archive (it often introduce hidden conflicts).
Using GUI: 'Software & Updates' -> Updates -> Unsupported Updates
Then try installing chromium-browser-dbgsym. It worked for me.

Sorry, i must retract. I've just restarted the browser and keeps
crashing.
Now i even removed PPAPI plugins and a similar error shows. It seems not
related:
PPAPI flash has config file in /etc, but library does not exist and won't be

Chromium cannot found pepper
I get the same error every time. Deleted ~/.config/chromium-browser but
only helped while i'm not signed in with a google account.
The moment I sign in with an account the browser chrashes.
