I confirm this behavior. However, one does not need to open or edit
kickerrc to make the drop-down list appear. You only have to restart
kicker (dcop kicker kicker restart) to update the configuration options.

Just confirming. It's still present in Edgy Eft Knot 2.
It seems that /etc/kde3/kdm/backgroundrc points to
"/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/kubuntu/kubuntu-wallpaper.png" which does
not exist. It probably should be pointing to /usr/share/wallpapers
/kubuntu-wallpaper.png or a similar image should be pu
I confirm this behavior. One does not need to restart X for it to
happen. Just by logging off and logging back in, partitions are
unmounted.
However, this seems to only affect ext3, reiserfs or xfs partitions.
vfat and ntfs partitions remain mounted.

the kernel to 2.6.15-25. Still no mouse, but everything else works ok.
