After doing this, my default domain works and login's seem to go pretty
smoothy. It would be if this could be added to 10.10, or at least

Winbind may be modifying /etc/nsswitch.conf or some of the pam stack
(common-auth) and messing with it. When you remove winbind, it doesn't
fix what it tweaked in common-auth most likely.
