I'm not up on naming conventions, but here is a "build 2p" that can be
installed with dpkg -i. To avoid dependency issues, I would install the
maintained version of spamprobe and then install this on top of it. To
revert, simply remove and then reinstall the maintained version.
Example:
$ sudo
Looking at the attached core dump, it seems that this is in fact the
same bug as 1882418, as the back trace shows it crashing when parsing a
jpg image in the affected routine. Hopefully, Luke Schierer can confirm
with the source emails, but I would consider this bug a duplicate-
of-1882418.

FWIW, I just realized that the deb package runs configure with some
parameters, --enable-default-8bit and --enable-cdb
If you were like me and didn't enable "--enable-cdb" in the past you may

Those messages may contain images, can you try the patch I just posted
at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/spamprobe/+bug/1882418 and
see if that corrects the issue?

I believe I have corrected the issue. I would propose that this minor
patch be tested by others impacted. It seems to clean up the issue by
simply adding some missing return codes (and I happened to fix a few
types that compiler was complaining about as well).
The changes seem to make the compil
I have not had a chance to dig into it too deeply, but it seems that
disabling optimization fixes the issue.
I tried this and it worked for the current code without Scott's
workaround.

I can confirm #38 (cyphermox) still applies to 14.04.04. Had a 14.04.04
desktop install and created a server install on the same stick without
erasing it first. Ran into the "busybox-initramfs" failing to install
issue as some others in this thread have.

This is not a kernel crash or panic but rather a behavior bug.
Furthermore, our test machines do not have Internet access. If there is

We have discovered what appears to be a bug with the handling of ICMP6
router solicitations on tun interfaces in the Linux kernel. In
particular, if an application is not immediately bound to the tun
interface, router solicitations are never sent out of the interface.

I have experienced the same issue. Logging in remotely still works, and
will show Xorg at 100% CPU utilization. It seems to be related to the
nvidia driver.
