This just happened to me on a laptop running Ubuntu 24 directly, not
under a VM, including the specific symptom of 200% CPU usage. My laptop
has 4 cores / 8 threads so it's not just something consuming all cores,
seems like a bug that very specifically causes two threads inside cups-

9 years later and still broken! Can confirm still exists in 16.04. Does
no one develop on Ubuntu or has every developer in the last nine years
manually removed apport?

Perhaps I misunderstand the scope of this bug, but AFAICT this makes
every core file submitted by every user to help developers debugging
every issue in Ubuntu potentially a red herring, because when a user
submits a core it will be from the first crash that occurred

I haven't tested, but I'm guessing the reason I didn't experience the
issue is because of my existing kopeterc file when I ran Edgy. Listen to
Lothar, the bug is probably still present :)

Yep, verified it with both the Qt and Human GTK styles. I am running a
Dapper upgraded to Edgy system though, maybe some left over cruft is
causing the text not to turn white? To be clear: The _text_ of the menu
item should change white as per the default kubuntu color scheme, but it
stays black. T
