Hi Witan
You need to edit the files in /etc as root. Not sure how your opening the
files now, but in rajeshz's instructions where it says:
Type in terminal you need to type gksudo
gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base and same for the other file, gksudo gedit
/etc/modprobe.d/options not just gedit.
Tried both the original and rajeshz instructions, both worked but the
rajeshz one gave me a lot more options to control my sound card in the
mixer.
Thanks a lot for this... now if only ubuntu could include the line in
the module load by default :D
