AIM users with the mobile status have an indicator in AIM, Pidgin,
Trillian, and Kopete. Empathy is the only client that does not have one.
Instead users are just shown as Available with no indicator at all.

This continued happening in every version of Ubuntu for the past two
years, making me switch to Pidgin every single time.
Please fix this bug, it is certainly not fixed! Great client otherwise
ruined by a small oversight.
