So further information, but more confusing to me.
If I mount via
'sshfs [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/path/ mountpoint'
then edit the file with vim, I have no problems with permission/ownership
resets.
If I mount via
'alt+f2
ssh://[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
then travel to path/ and edit the file, I see the per
So, I had an issue with building from source (gvimtutor issues, I'm not
familiar with how dpkg works enough to fix it), so I'm using this
person's ppa for vim, for now. Using the hardy ver, but at least it's
vim patched to 285.

FWIW I also am experiencing this behavior.
This has already caused a few problems when deploying fixes for clients.
If there's anything I can do to assist in the resolution of this, let me
