I also had this bug but by setting three different keys to true as seen
under the "cinnamon-desktop, cinnamon-session, cinnamon-settings-daemon,
cinnamon-screensaver" section at
http://segfault.linuxmint.com/2015/05/cinnamon-2-6-updates-romeo/
brought the suspend button back. See comment #2 by cle
Sorry for the typo in the last post, "no suspend and resume" should be
"now suspend and resume", as in it works!
