Please do bring this back for Trusty. Surely the release policy should
be "if we break something in a release, we fix it in that release"?

Keystrokes frequently but inconsistently are echoed. Also the gnome desktop

Yup, this bug was reported against dapper. I don't have the time to play
anymore games with this. If the ubuntu developers don't care about the
quality of their work than neither do I. Dapper-deleted!
