Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
When playing with water effects in Compiz (shift + F9) I received the
following error: apport-gpu-error-intel.py
I am running 10.10 but have had similar problems with 10.04 - see the
following bug that is now closed:

I have had a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing so I think I
know what to do. You can ignore my last 2 questions as this link answers
them for me. I can get access to a second machine to log into my laptop
through ssh. I will log a new bug once I have done the relevant testing.

Geir I am now using 2.6.34-rc3 mainline kernel.
Regarding the need to ssh into the locked-up system in order to get the
logs:
1: Do you mean to ssh into the locked up system from another computer on
the network? If you mean something else (ssh localhost??) please say. I
am just running one laptop
Thank you Geir for your response
>Since you need to ssh into the locked-up system in order to get the
logs
Can you give me some tips on ssh in order to get the logs. Sorry I am
not that technical. Once I get the logs should I post them to this bug?
