this is still happening for me ... in a slightly different and more
anoying way. gparted crashes everytime i start it up with double free or
corruption. i am runnging karmic with all the updates on x86. any help
would be really appreciated!

when building inkscape from source in ubuntu-9.04 (x86) with the
'--with-python' configure option the compile stops with a bunch off
errors about not found files.

apt-get source inkscape
apt-get build-dep inkscape
