Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose

guest utils, as described on http://www.webupd8.org/2010/12/how-to-test-
ubuntu-1104-with-unity-in.html
A crash reporting dialog popped up during the installation. I g
OK, foret what I told in #72 and #73. The problem persists.

I forgot to mention that I didn't experience the problem any more after
doing the things I described in #72.

A workaround seems to be disabling 'kernel mode setting'.
Since I am a clueless user ;-), I am not sure how to do this. I tried
these two things:
1. execute this command (as root):
echo options i915 modeset=0 > /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf
2. edit
For the update script 11_to_12, I modified
src/cats/update_mysql_tables.in, made it executable, and started it with
'-u root -p' as well. Changed 'bindir' and 'db_name'.

I'm now using virtualbox for virtualisation, which works (after
disabling the kvm_intel module). And virtualbox uses another disk image
format, indeed.

The problem does not occur for unpatched Win XP SP 2 or unpatched Win
2000. It only appears after updating the system.
