Click on the downloaded .deb file. Ignore the warning of the older
version. Click install p
Also had the same bug.
The "clear" and "save again" actions worked for me. I can now sync
tomboy notes once again.

Binary package hint: conky
Since upgrading to Jaunty, when conky runs from the Startup Applications
app the conky window doesn't stay on the bottom. This causes it to stay
in front of the other windows.
If I run conky from a terminal, the problem disappears.

I've come up with a very ugly temporary fix.
If you don't have first install python2.5 and then just edit the file
/usr/games/pychess and in the first line change #!/usr/bin/python to
#!/usr/bin/python2.5
