That's exactly the reason why. After building and installing libmbim
1.2, I am able to use my built-in mobile broadband and in fact, I am
using it right now! Will return my freaking expensive ($140 after tax)
and ugly (black + green) T-Mobile hotspot...

The network manager can recognize my iPhone 3GS and offered a new menu
item for the iPhone. It automatically tries to connect to the Internet
via the iPhone once I plug it in, but after I updated to natty it always
fails.

I was connecting to my Samba server.
Chose "Windows share" from nautilus-connect-server and fill in *correct* login
credentials, then it pop up a window with such error message:

I changed to use the 64-bit version of Ubuntu and everything works well
now.
